A Note From the Dancers
In 1974 San Francisco Ballet faced dire financial issues. In the face of this financial struggle, the dancers of the company took it upon themselves to raise the money needed for the organization to survive. They hit the streets of San Francisco, ended up raising two million dollars; most all of these were donations under a hundred dollars!
We at Texas Ballet Theater have found ourselves in a similar situation, and we believe that the power of 40 passionate artists is a force to be reckoned with!
We, as the dancers of Texas Ballet Theater, want to let you know that, for the first time ever, the dancers of Texas Ballet Theater are reaching out to all of you great people —to raise money for the company.
We need to raise over $500,000 as soon as possible and we're determined to raise every penny of it!
Artistically Texas Ballet Theater is doing better than ever. We’ve been getting rave reviews. But these economic times are hitting the arts hard. If we don’t take action now, our future could be precarious.
We need a stronger financial base to survive and flourish.
We are asking for any size contribution that feels great to you. No gift too small! No gift too big! Whether your contribution will pay for postage stamps, a pair of pointe shoes, a swan’s costume, a dancer’s salary, or an orchestra—we need you all.
And don’t forget to check if your company matches donations.
